A pest of autumn harvested asparagus. in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. 1975

By R M Findlay

  • Book ID: 506

NZ Journal of Agriculture Feb. 1975

An article describing the damage caused by the potato capsid bug, Calocris norvegicus.

Discovered in a small asparagus bed in Dannevirke. And subsequently noticed in a bed at Otane.

Not seen in asparagus on the Heretauga plains before but has been in Motueka.

It is the nymphal stage that causes the damage.
