Memories of a Manukau City Parks Ranger, 1988-2010, Manukau Parks, People and Events.

These memories are those of Robert Findlay. d.

Robert was appointed Park Operations Manager a Manukau City Council in 1988 and was Park Recreation Manager 23 years later when Manukau City Council became part of Auckland City in 2010. Significant events during the time included contracting out the park maintenance and the amalgmation of Manukau and Papatoetoe Cities and Howick Borough

Park Ranger was one his roles when the Ranger service was introduced. In “Manukau Parks, People and Events” he writes of his personal recollections and experiences.

Manukau City Council Parks Staff 1965-2010.  This is to include a list of all parks staff (est 500) who were employed in the department.
